Here's an almost equivalent version to the Avenger album I posted previously. There are six songs that are also on the Avenger album. The other songs though not on the Avenger album are as good if not better, plus this album has been ripped @ 320 kps . Enjoy!

I figured that Avengers budget LP had to be a mix of tracks from other albums, but I didn't think they went back this far.
The Colpix label was long gone by the time The Avengers got Diana Rigg and became popular (Columbia-Screen Gems had their Colgems label releasing Monkees LPs by that time). And there's no mention if these are Pye UK tracks (just a Record Supervisor Production, whatever that was).
The liner notes tie in with at least one Columbia picture (Dr. Strangelove), so that may be why Colpix chose Laurie Johnson.
Interesting find. I'm sure you did a lot of searching to come up with this one.
Laurie Johnson Is most known for "Lonely Stranger" (from "The Avengers", Episode: "Joker") on KPM label. Many of his works have since become "stock music" for a number of animated series, notably Spongebob Squarepants and Ren And Stimpy. Wikipedia has a page on Laurie Johnson but with over 50 TV or movie themes to his credits say something I'm sure.. and thanks a cool post
I was surprise to find all that stock music from Ren & Stimpy and Sponge Bob Square Pants were from Laurie Johnson. While looking for his works, I stumbled across all of the music from both shows. His talents know no boundaries, so many different styles and sounds you'd swear they were from different composers. I was originally working on my Syd Dale collection when I ran across a various artist collection by KPM and have been collecting ever since. I'm more into his big band and easy listening genres rather than his TV and movie arrangements.
Exceptionally cool. Many thanks, Rich.
Thanks Phillip.

Fine listen, Rich/Jack!! It's just been recent that I found out about Laurie Johnson, and I've been enjoying him a bunch!! I guess I didn't know about him because he's from across the pond.
Fantastic, great sound! Many thanks.
I'm just preparing to give this LP a listen tonight.
Thanks for sharing this one, Rich!
Many thanks.
But, after a nice string of albums, now not a single post in over a quarter of a year. Really?
Was it something I said?
Hello, Rich/Jack!! It's very hard to believe you haven't been out here in a year now!! I for one always really enjoyed this site and bantering back & forth with you. I hope this note finds you well, and that maybe you'll decide to come back. We all miss ya, man!!
